Hi, I’m Mark and I am a milti-disciplined OfQual accredited Personal Trainer.
I have been interested in health and fitness for a lot of years. However up until relevantly recent times, instead of doing anything about it I worked myself into the ground with a stressful job, year after year whilst getting fatter and more unfit.
Fast-forward to 2022 and I finally decided that enough was enough. I then embarked on a mission to learn everything I could about the science of health, fitness, building muscle and losing fat. Not only have I learnt a lot from a lot of sources over the last few years now but I now have an array of formal (see “QUALIFICATIONS” tab) qualifications.
You see, in 2022 I was obese and had “pre-diabetes” which at the age of 44 made my long-term outlook bleak! So, I really did have to do something and I did! I quit my old line of engineering work and focussed 100% on study and working on myself.
Fast forward three and a half years and I am no longer obese and definitely am nowhere near the Type 2 diabetes threshold (I went from a HbA1c of 43 to 29) anymore. I am not yet the finished product and have a few pounds of fat to shift but I am now very fit, strong and am very metabolically healthy according to my bloods. Thich is a far cry from where i was only a short time ago.
